2nd Pool Opening Update

As promised, we are messaging you all to provide you with another update in regards to COVID19 and swimming pools. As we get closer to potential opening we wanted to increase our communication.
The State of North Carolina indicated last week that public pools could open at 50% capacity. However, there are many State and CDC requirements that must be complied with as well as insurance issues. The Master Board has been diligent reviewing these concerns and working on plans to put in place. We will agree on a date and time that your pool will open, at the Board of Directors instruction, along with a plan to manage capacity as recommended by the authorities and additional restrictions for the HOA members and for your safety. We will communicate your opening date and time. For example, some communities have may be planning to open on June 1st, June 15th, or July 1st with hours and plans must comply with the capacity guidelines and monitoring. We will open your pool based on the plan that is communicated to members, with the collaboration of the contracted pool company.
- Please note: All pools that fall under the County/State health department rules and regulations are considered public.
- All HOA pools are public for purposes of applicability of state and county guidelines/regulations.
We are hoping Phase III Reopening will reduce many of these requirements. Thank you for your patience while this is being reviewed.
