KINDERTON VILLAGE HISTORY
“Long before it was Kinderon Village, S. Clay Williams, president of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, fell in love with a patch of gently rolling acreage along the Yadkin River and decided to build a country retreat for himself and his family that they named Win-Mock Farm Dairy.” [1] “The farm stayed in the Williams family until the Bahnson family later took it over in 1949.” [2] In 1996, 300 acres was then sold to the Hillsdale Group LLC for the development of a Kinderton Commercial / Residential area. Kinderton Village was then developed over 3 phases from 2004 to 2021 with multiple builders to become the neighborhood it is today. [1] Winmock (About) www.winmock.com (accessed Sept 24, 2023).
